ABOUT THE ANGEL AZRAEL

Azrael (in biblical Hebrew) is an angel in the Abrahamic religions.

Azrael is often identified with the Angel of Death in the Hebrew Bible.

His Hebrew name can be translated as “Helper of God”, “Helper from God” or “He whom God helps”. The Qur’an refers to one (Malak Al-Mawt or “Angel of Death”), which corresponds to the Hebrew term Malach ha-Mawet in Rabbinic literature. His name is written, according to Arabic Islamic tradition, in the Arabic alphabet as ‘Azra’il (in Arabic).

Azrael guides the spirit to the afterlife and is the first celestial spirit that everyone meets.

ABOUT THE ECLECTIC SEAL OF ARCHANGEL AZRAEL

The Eclectic Seal

I have worked with hundreds of visual seal constructions from many fields and with different aspects but there are some elements that are found in most eclectic seals.

I will try to visually describe as many components of the construction of the eclectic seal of Archangel Azrael as possible.

In the outer circle are some words in Hebrew but using Greek letters, like this:

Now, let’s “decrypt” the symbols because people ask me (on daily basis) “what’s that sign, but the other one, what is the meaning of that symbol?”

Well, usually not to many sigil-magic practitioners (because some may choose to make this a practice) are willing to reveal all the symbolism behind eclectic Seals and definitely not many are willing to share their personal symbolism within personal sigil construction yet here we are…

It symbolizes the Cross of Power to be later adopted as the Cross of Jerusalem. It is added 4 times in the outer circle to symbolize the cardinal points North, South, East, West.

Inside the circle we find the same crosses but this time the symbolism changes a little and in the whole interior construction there are 2 crosses with 2 dots each (balance, left-right, contrasts) and the lower cross with two points on the left and right symbolizing the Balance, individuality, the two contrasts serving a single Higher purpose.

The total number of crosses inside is 5. 3 up, 1 left, 1 down. Initially, one would think that they are randomly arranged and did not all fit in a certain order, a symmetry, an aesthetic, but their positioning has a different meaning.

The Holy Trinity (3 crosses Above), the cross on the left represents the identity of the Archangel, who is positioned between the Divinity and us humans, who are represented by the cross below with the two aspects that we balance, the two contrasts

Symbol of the Sun on the Horizon . This representation is visually represented by a semicircle (the Sun) cut by a horizontal line (the horizon). The two elements can be interpreted as Sunrise or Sunset, the cyclical cycle, beginning and end, two contrasts related to human existence which is symbolized by the horizontal line with the two circles at both ends.

Immediately after the horizon line, man is symbolically “cut” in two with an oblique-perpendicular line representing his death but also his rebirth.

The Infinity Symbol. “write and erase forever in a great book. What it writes is a person’s birth, what it erases is their death”

The symbol of the planet Saturn (Capricorn) in astrology, the metal lead in alchemy but in this construction it represents a form of identity of this archangel, of course with the steps and the symbol 2 in the construction

🧿 DAscent’s Sigil OF ARCHANGEL AZRAEL

The magic sigil of Azrael is visually defined by the following constructions

In the outer circle representing the 3D dimension, the physical reality is the archangel’s name divided into 3 sections and positioned clockwise starting from the bottom (AZ), left (RA) and right (EL).

AZ the beginning and the end (A to Z), RA is the Egyptian god portrayed as the Sun God and EL, Divinity ( see wikipedia reference ).

Archangel Azrael is not the one who brings death but the one who welcomes souls and guides them in the two aspects, death and birth.

Archangel’s name in Hebrew (bottom-left), Arabic version (bottom-right) and using celestial characters (top-center).

Δ – the big triangle incorporates the 3 crosses of power .

This association symbolized the Holy Trinity in the astral plane and the element Fire (alchemical symbol) in the physical plane.

The small circled triangle symbolizes “Connection”.

The symbol in the center represents an energy concept which I’m not going to dive into explaining it.

Charging the Sigil

By intention or affirmation.

If it helps, you can use statements like:

“Thank you Azrael for this new beginning, for guiding me and making my life comfortable.””Thank you Azrael for all your gifts, compassion and patience in guiding me.”

ACTIVATING THE SIGIL

You can opt for any activation method, but I recommend activating the seal of Archangel Azrael through fire.

HOW DO WE USE IT?

Once charged and activated you can use the energy and message of this seal to ask for guidance (dream state works fine or through meditative state), to help you discover what are the issues, “the baggage”, “the trauma” , all these obstacles that are stopping you from living a peaceful life, you can ask Azrael to assist loved ones who have recently passed away (who died recently).

It may seem strange but you can ask Archangel Azrael to intercede, to assist in the birth of a new soul in the physical plane (as a newborn) — Applies to expectant mothers.
