Cutting Cord Ritual
Cutting cord ritual, a popular practice among modern practitioners. But do they know they do it wrong?
The Dascentian Grimoire says…
The ritual is placed in the times of pre Atlantean civilization. Not originating from this civilization but they archived and kept the knowledge.
It is an offshoot of a marriage ritual.
It is popular, it is easy, it makes you feel … something, but it is effective?
Let’s open the Dascentian Grimoire and see what is different from what is practiced today.
Bringing a fresh note to the old.
The Grimoire says that we need a single candle stick, cut in half and not two different candles.
The modern practice is using two candles and sometimes different colors. Avoid that.
Why? because the coloring of the wax might vary and when lighted up, the flame might “send a different message”.
Not all colorants are the same and not all colorants burn the same way so it is obvious that two burning candles with a different colors might burn in a different way. Ergo giving off, unfolding misleading information to the practitioner.
Avoid candles with different colors, different shape, form, size or wick, because will burn differently.
Suggestion. Measure the candle and exactly at half length cut it.
The Grimoire says that cutting cords ritual is not divination.
No it is not, but it is a ritual and a spell.
A spell is intentional influence so a manifestation can occur while a ritual is more of a celebration.
At the end of the day it matters not the name but the action.
The idea of interpretation, the divination of the ritual in the modern practice has roots in another form of divination called Flame Gazing. But about that, in another article.
The Grimoire says that cutting cords is not burning the tied string.
Cutting cord ritual is literally the action of cutting, not burning, not scratching, not pinching but cutting, severing a connection.
Why? Because fire does not destroy but transforms.
Law: Energy is neither created, nor can be destroyed only converted, transformed or transferred.
This law is more than that, it is a principle from a holistic perspective because it doesn’t operate, or better yet it doesn’t reverberate only on a single dimension. It also applies to dimension of thought too because it is reflected by another law
Law: “Where focus goes, energy flows”
In this ritual, use a scissors or even more appropriate the athame, the ceremonial knife.
Why doesn’t it work ok with burning the string, the thread?
Because the ritual is not limited to our physical dimension.
The cord is representative as a channel of information, for interaction between two entities much like the umbilical cord of a newborn. At birth, the new baby is attached to the mother through this cord. The umbilical cord is severed at birth with cutting tools, no fire.
The energetic cord, even if the physical one is severed, is still active up to the age of 7 years old. When there’s a threshold in the identity of the entity and adjustments are made for the preteen period.
Back to cord cutting ritual which needs to be more of a celebration and less of a spell with fire the string attached to the candles is burned but the energy is changing from physical to etheric. With other words, when the ritual is performed and the string is burning away, the physical connection is less empowered and it is transformed into mental connection.
You might have noticed that after performing such a ritual after/while the string burns out, after a day or even sooner the entity (ex or whatever) is calling, message you or tries to reach you in some way.
That is because they are sensitive enough to sense the change. The physical interaction is burned and transformed in smoke and ash… which are representative to though, thinking, that type of communication.
Communication? Oh yes, communication. Smoke is one of the oldest forms of effective communication at a distance (and between realms), indigenous people used smoke signals for that purpose.
More holistically, the white sage smoke in combination with specific herbs call forth spirits, invoke visions, knowledge…
Fire not so effective when it comes to cutting cords.
- △ Fire, triangle pointing up – representative to fire, intention, direction, action, masculine energy, passion, strong base, transformation.
- ▽ Water, triangle pointing down – representative to water, feminine energy, fluidity, flexibility, emotional intelligence, memory, remembrance.
- 🜁 Air, crossed triangle pointing up – representative to masculine and feminine energies, though, intuition, messaging, invisible connection, sound and sight beyond physical senses, wind, smoke.
- 🜃 Earth, crossed triangle pointing down – representative to feminine and masculine energy, strong base, physicality, nurturing, abundance, fertility
The Grimoire says that a circle of salt should not be used.
In the modern practice, the use of protective circle, be it salt or sand should not be used because a single circle in which both candles are placed means a union and cutting cords is about severing the a union.
So, instead of making a single circle of salt to protect whatever, make two distinctive circles and place each candle on its own circle. If you need to use that idea of protection.
And while we are at this step, why would you use salt or sand?
The crystalline structure of the salt or sand, forces chaotic energies to follow liniar paths which result in transformation of chaotic energy into ordered energy and that is highly powerful.
Chaotic energy is amorphous, if you are visual, imagine the chaotic energy like alive clouds or smoke sometimes, while ordered energy follows an ordered pattern like connection of the molecules in chemistry books.
The alchemy of the ritual was lost in time and partitioners used sand just to make the candles stay in place and for fire hazard. Convenience over knowledge.
Some say that magic is doing whatever you want, how you feel. Ummm, yes and no.
Yes, for the individuals who have a strong connection and an understanding of the energies but these entities are rare.
So for the gifted entities, yes, they channel the knowing, they channel the actions, the understanding, they see, know and feel the mechanics of it, how it works, how it manifests. Yes, indeed, Witcraft as a practice is flexible but not to the point where if candles are needed we replace with electric ones because it is convenient. That’s play pretend yet not void of consequences.
I will explain that too. One can say “hey, it worked, I don’t know how but it worked”. It is not coincidence it is power but the manifestation might not be the one you wished for. A classic wax candle has a specific energy, calls out the elemental of Fire, the light, the heat, the cleansing, the transformation of other energies using fire. That will not work with a replacement, with an electric candle. It’s pretty, no fire hazard, doesn’t emanate smoke but it is not effective as needed.
Magic practice is not “I do how I feel” even if the idea is empowering, it creates an expectancy which does not render the result you want. Instead, creates an inner conflict and (because nobody mentioned this by now) it creates a though form. A wishful thinking state is a dimension in which a specific entity is projected that feeds with your failures. When we fail, we tend to judge ourselves, our actions in a negative way which creates a state of conflict within and is masking itself as doubt. When that stage is reached, the entity created is reaching out from unconscious to the conscious in the form of intuition.
From here, the need to work with deities, to worship, to abusively rely on any form of divination… all these have in common two things. Can you guess?
- Middleman. The externalization of your power. Giving away your power to an external projection or entity. Christianity uses the same method when in fact, the Divine you look in whatever clouds or realms is in fact within you. Search for more…
- Doubt, Judgement, Failure and Responsibility. When giving away your power, you also give away the responsibility of your actions. That translates into accepting to force yourself to obey an imposed system rather than owning your sovereign entity. No wonder Authenticity is the most powerful energy one can freely benefit from yet Influencers are the trend.
Is magic, is Witcraft practice “do what you want”? No, that is not the case. Witchcraft has rules, all practices follow a framework, have knowledge behind, experience, energy, it is not chaotic but the bridge, the transformation point from chaos into an order some of us will never experience in one life time.
The Grimoire says that emotions are more powerful than words.
Why is True. The emotional state from which the practitioner is operating is very important.
Avoid performing the Cutting Cords ritual from a negative state like fear, resentment, vengeance, envy.
Law: “What you put out is what you get back“
Nobody needs to buy into this, but I’m sharing anyway. The universe or whatever energies work to manifest your spells and rituals DO NOT communicate in English language, French, Deutsche (german), Chinese, Romanian or whatever… the practice is about energy so it works with vibration, frequency and words matter less.
Many express their intention to be millionaires or at least financially secured for the rest of their life. we don’t see many yachts in the oceans do we?! Intention matters, but practitioner’ state matters even more.
A spell for getting your ex back will fail if your state is fear of being rejected, fear of being dumped for someone else, self-judgement, envy. Those are more representative to a toxic need of the practitioner of being in that relationship, it is more of a parasitic relationship rather than a real connection where one is holding space for the other and the other to hold the space back.
The Dascentian Grimoire says that everything has purpose.
This shared perspective is different and less known. I like to share it because it enlarges the human experience.
When performing cutting cords ritual, open the sacred space, open your heart to gratitude instead of holding on a toxic or traumatic experience with the other individual.
How to convert that and how to create a space for forgiveness, for love and appreciation?
Do not limit yourself to the identity of the ego who suffered in this relationship you want to part away from. If you hold on to the bad experiences, no matter what your intention is, what words you use, how entitled, how justified you feel you are to perform this ritual, it is not the signature energy you want to put out. You need to release from a state of love, forgiveness, accountability, fairness not judgement.
Amicable separation is the cutting cord energy signature you need.
Operate from that state of acceptance even for a while by understanding the contract behind, the agreement at soul level.
Understand that circumstances were put in place so you can go through these challenges.
Yes, at heavy density, at human level, the ego is hurt, the personality tends to defend, to protect itself both physically and emotionally. Spiritually, the entirety of the soul does not suffer, it is not hurt, it is immortal, can’t be shattered into pieces or wounded. The Ego can be hurt, the personality can suffer because it has a human identity, for the Soul, is experience, is a new and unique understanding from a limited perspective.
“Dark night of the Soul” – it doesn’t exist. The Soul doesn’t have dark nights, doesn’t suffer, the Ego does. The Soul learns what suffering can be expressed as, the experience of it.
And because I touched the idea of learning… you have no idea how many entities learn from your experience, from your challenges.
We are never alone. All around us and even through. We are multidimensional in nature. In other words, we operate simultaneously in many dimensions across frameworks like time and space.
I lost you? I hope not. What I am trying to say is that there are many entities who are watching you, who observe, who learn, who interact, who witness your life experience and some are interacting with you at any given moment. From here we have the concepts of guardians, spiritual teams of guides, protectors, familiars and such.
That being shared. We close the Dascentian Grimoire with all this knowledge in a bonus content, the real cord cutting ezoteric ritual as it was performed in pre Atlantean times.
