A wonderful space for interaction, sharing ideas and perspectives, yes, I am focusing on the useful aspect of it.

Long story short, the context: In a large group on Facebook someone asked the following question and even if it seams simple it opened opportunities for ideas to flow. Here’s the question:

How does 1 become a master of witchcraft, wizardry & sorcery ?

And my response:
In a sense there is no such thing because magic as life still evolves but there is one exception.
There are creators and there are followers.
Creators of magic are the masters of witchcraft because it is the “next step of magic development” like Crowley, Osman Spare, Solomon, Merlin, these are creators… the masters, the rest are the followers of the practice…
One can read all the books, perform all practices but can’t become a master only a good practitioner.
Take the 72 sigils from Lesser Key of Solomon / Ars Goetia for example… studied by millions across time, culture yet nobody has ever successfully build a garage door not to mention a temple.
Of course many will lift their eyebrow in disagreement but that’s just their ego not feeling special anymore and that’s ok.
It is fascinating for me to see how one who doesn’t seek power receives all these tools and the one who seeks power doesn’t.
That’s one of the reasons I have an affinity for sigil magic.
Now for the ones who do seek to be better in their craft and practice: do read, accumulate knowledge and back it up with experience, always be inquisitive, ask why, how… don’t be the brainless sheep “eh… it works, I don’t care to know why or how!” that’s stupid, that’s wishful thinking and illusion.
Ask for knowledge, remember the basics, practice, evolve, experiment, push limits and boundaries… and with time you might have a sense of self accomplishment with real stuff to back you up.
Or take the difficult route (for so many) – craft your craft, design your reality, develop your practice, create your magic…. but for that you need a lot of self-confidence, energy, to be aligned with yourself and don’t care how crazy and stupid you might sound or be seen by others… Real magic is 80% creation… the rest ca be established collective agreements like laws of physics governing this universe.
I know my answer got a bit long but there’s one more perspective I want to share with you or anybody else.
When humanity has evolved to the degree where one is understanding the outcome of their action beyond the Self, only then we are granted the power of real magic as seen in movies.
I could explain the esoteric-scientific version in very simple terms:
some of our DNA have caps on ends (telomeres) when humans operate from a higher frequency and higher vibration, these caps dissolve and ultimately activate “superpowers” which are currently dormant in 80% population.
Why not now?
Imagine an egoistic selfish individual dwelling with the idea “bring my ex back” …. it’s not a nice view.

I might slipped from the main subject a bit but that proves it is not a simple question and deserves many perspectives as answers.
