Classic, Digital and Ai sigils
Let’s talk a bit about sigils and the variety of ways these can be created.
Are Ai sigils or digital ones a valid accepted method?

First let us define the terms shall we…
Types of Sigils
Types of sigils is an umbrella because we could refer to styles of sigils or purpose of use but in this context, it is about the medium, the environment in which sigils are created like classic, when using classic tools like pen and paper; digital medium when using a graphic software to create sigils like Photoshop, Illustrator, Photopea or whatever image editing software is available online or on one’s device. And of course, the newer option generated sigils.
The last mentioned, generated sigils, splits in two sub-categories. One is sigil generators software or browser based with code behind and second is Ai generated sigils, empowered by Ai image gen.
The following is my personal perspective from my own experience. You don’t have to agree with this perspective but I’m sharing it anyway.
I don’t limit sigils to a creative symbol holding a compressed desire and expecting that physical reality to bend to my will, I’m not Dr. Strange and I have no desire to experience that Hollywood fantasy… but I do expand the functionality of these symbols more than most.
I am sharing the benefits and my personal experience form expanding but not relying on sigil magic. But first, let’s see the difference between sigil categories and why some are more popular than others.
Classic method of creating sigils
Yes, let’s start with the ancient method of sigil construction. The classic method is using no digital technology, something to write, draw (paint, sew, carve, engrave..) and something to be drawing on, be it paper, bone, metal, wood, canvas, stone… whatever material or surface.
A sigil construction needs to have an alignment of at least three aspects: energy blueprint, the action, the manifestation
- Energy blueprint – is needed for the idea, the intention, the affirmation, the will. It is etheric in nature, no manifestation yet. A thought.
- The action – is needed to build momentum in the physical dimension to add density to the intention, to create clarity, to move in the direction of the will, of the intention or affirmation (affirmation is also an action). Action is the bridge from etheric to physical. A though is not the same as a spoken word.
- The manifestation – is the consequence of the action. A though is not the same as a spoken word, and if the word is addressed to someone has an impact, it manifests as interaction, response.
This is how magic works, how reality works from what you think, project, believe to manifested reality. Of course has much more complexity behind but for the sake of this material, let’s keep it simple.
So, back to classic sigils construction method using physical tools and objects.
Some may say it is the most powerful method, when “creating with your own hand” so to speak. Yes it can be because includes the energy, the idea, the will, the intention aligned and empowering the action, the creative physical process which when the creator feels satisfaction also enhances the sigil’s “value” even more. “I did this and I love how it looks, how it feels…”
And that alignment of energy and momentum is powerful.
Digital Sigils
Right now there are two types of digital sigils. One is created via image editing software and the second is generated by either a web app/phone app with programming language behind.
Let’s start with digital sigils, output is… obviously digital, an image. So the question is, are these sigils useful or just an expression of creativity with no actual manifestation?
Let’s see. Intention, will behind the creative process? Yes.
Followed by action, the actual creation of the sigil? Yes.
The pen and paper is replaced by digital tools like canvas and brush tool or whatever digital tools are available on image editing programs. Output is action manifested defined by the image. So, all good.
What about the sigil generators?
Most online sigil generators (or mobile apps) offer the most important step, allows user to input their though, their idea, intention, affirmation. Second step is the generating the image from that intention or affirmation, and that defines the Action.
So, digital generators do change the medium, the environment so we can say there are still efficient. Especially if, behind the output is more than drawing lines to connect the unique consonants after distillation process. (reference to classic method of sigil construction based on intention reduction and alphanumeric assignment)
There are a quite a few good sigil generators out there and when I say “good” I use this to label the knowledge behind the visual output.

Ai Sigils
Oh, the realm of Ai. Ai sigils are visually appealing, quite amazing I can say but are these useful?
Let’s see. Well, I have tested a few of them and I need to remind you that this is my personal experience based on the output Ai generated content.
If I am to use a non trained Ai model or Agent, the results are not what I need but if I am to train a model, an Ai agent with specific knowledge, with meanings and definitions of specific symbols and their reflective definition on collective consciousness, things change.
Is Ai good, reliable in sigil construction? Yes and No.
Yes, only when properly trained so it can give intentional meaning to what is created/generated.
No, because it can output an image without meaning. Who gives meaning to what you see? You (the beauty is in the eye of the beholder)!
So if you want a sigil for abundance and the Ai generator does generate a cross, does this sigil serv you, does it align with your knowledge, does it empower your will, intention, affirmation?!
What are Magic Sigils?
We can remove “Magic” in front of Sigils because it is no longer serving the definition. Sigils are compressed concepts powered by intention, affirmation and action into a symbol. Sigils can be physical (amulets), visual (digital, ornamental, tattoos), or mental (meditative states, mindful concepts, state of being).
We “transition” (quite a popular word) from magic to technology where the non-physical or less known energies become an expression of manifestation, becomes technology.
That’s could be it. If we expand it with more words, we just add noise to complexity of what already represents.
