How to create a magic sigil for success

First let’s define what a sigil is and after that we will dive into the process of creation.
A sigil is a symbol or multiple symbols that carry special meaning, define a concept and helps with manifestation of our intention.
Doesn’t sound like Wikipedia definition? Of course it doesn’t… why complicate things. But personally I would change the “intention” with “affirmation” because an affirmation already generates a similar state with the one we would like to experience as manifested by sigil.
In other words, some intentions will remain at intention stage, while affirmations are more powerful generating the state.
There are multiple types and styles of sigils but in this material we will create a sigil for success.
Magic has logic, order, rules and flexibility behind so if you stumble upon the idea that “anything goes” do a 180 degree, slowly.
We can practice magic only if we understand it, only if it makes sense, otherwise it is wishful thinking, illusion.
The Purpose
First step is to have a clear intention in our mind. Intention in mind affirmation in heart.
For this material, our intention is to activate the energy of Success.
In other words, let’s be successful. Let’s enjoy success.
How does it feel, how we enjoy, how we act? Do we need external validation of our success? Do we enjoy success for our ourselves for our state of being or we want to prove something (envy). rub “our success story” in the face of others?
All valid questions and most important aspect is to be true to our energy. Yes, a blunt truth, a real, without makeup, filters and masks, a straight clear view to reflect our authentic self.
That being said, we clearly defined the purpose for our actions.
The Method
There are few modalities we can use to create sigils. The most popular one is the method of reduction from a sentence, from written or spoken affirmation into few characters which, after the process of stylization to form a visual symbol.
We can use the letter based stylization or letters to numbers association and come up with a drawing defines the visual representation of our sigil.
The Tools
Classic construction of the sigils doesn’t require magical tools. A piece of paper and a pen will do the trick.
Opt for more complexity? It is a valid choice and we can add as much complexity as we want. We can use rituals, grids, meditative state in sigil construction so, it is a matter of preference, commodity and efficiency.
We usually choose efficiency and commodity but hope for Dr. Strange kind of magic manifestations 🙂 … the Hollywood screen magic.
We can also opt for digital tools like online sigil generators, Ai image generators, image editing software to help and assist our creative process.
The Preparation
Success. How does success feels like? Define what success means to you, how you see yourself as enjoying this state of success?
No matter how powerful we think we are, how clear the intention is, how many times we repeat the idea in our head, if we desire success but in the back of our mind we know and acknowledge that we have to struggle to pay this month’s bills, it is not going to work as expected.
“You cannot experience what you don’t have”
Bashar though Darryl Anka said it like this: “You cannot experience what you are not the vibration of“
In other words, we may say and wish for a lot of things but if emotionally and mentally we are not aligned in that direction, it is useless, well, not useless but not effective.
The Creation
Many styles, many methods. Indeed sigil construction is a flexible process because creativity itself is a flexible process.
For this tutorial I will use two different methods, two easy styles for inspirational purpose because I can only express the creative process to share with you, the state of mind, the emotional, spiritual, physical state aligned all together to support the momentum will not be described as you need to exercise that from your own experience.
Starting with clear affirmation: “I enjoy success on all levels”
Digital method
Above sigils are images with transparency, if you want, you can use them for inspiration.
In both instances I use online sigil generators. One is Arcane Sigil Generator and the other… let’s just name it v.9.3
Online generators (at least these I use) various methods of distillation of the affirmation or intention. Among these patterns I can name the Saturn’s Magic Square, the Witches Wheel and all of them are using Pitagora’s reduction method and assigning letters to numbers.

That’s it, that’s the creative digital process, it is fast, easy to use, less time consuming of the actual sigil drawing, more time to focus on mental state and holistic aspects I already mentioned.
Classic method – hand draw
To be frank it is a process I don’t enjoy because I don’t use physical sigils for myself, I create mental ones when bored or for exploration purposes, but for the purpose of this tutorial, let’s design one.
This time the distillation method is different from what is common use.
The affirmation is the same. I use Pitagora’s 1-9 letter to number association but the additional step is further distillation of the numeric sequence. In this case to reduce to maximum of simplicity…
The grid is 3×3 from 1 to 9, and the output is this.

A bit different than usual method.
You don’t have to adopt this method, in fact, even if it is something you will not hear too often, do not reduce your affirmation or intention at all. The idea is to have energy and momentum behind not to remove it. In this context, the sigil generators use have this option available.
How to use it
- It depends. You can use it while meditating or not.
- with a ritual of some sorts to allow yourself to interact more with the energy.
- drawing, printing, engraving, tattoo or other forms of artistic expressions you fancy.
- classic method of burning the paper for activation or kipping it as a remined of the energy you need to match form time to time when you feel you slip away.
The Key factors
Establish a relationship between your state and the sigil, the symbol you create. That’s why the space, the energy you operate from is crucial.
“I’m a successful individual” – doesn’t reflect in your reality if in your mind there is doubt, lack of trust in self, fear based beliefs, lack of logic, knowledge, but envy, need, despair. The thing is… yes it is possible to “trick” your own mind for a while but the body has its own true, it’s own intelligence that’s why the best outcomes emerge from meditative states rather than “burn the sigil/paper”…
“I enjoy financial stability” – doesn’t work if your belly is empty and you feel the hunger, the necessity, the concern about unpaid bills…
Yet even with such anomalies in the practice sometimes, the sigil is manifested, not full potential but at least to show you how powerful you are.
This amazes me, behind all these self-imposed limitations, behind the bars, the stories and beliefs we hold on, from that limited space we still manage to penetrate this reality and bend it in our favor, in rare ocasions.
Replace belief with knowing, with certainty, with command instead of wishful thinking.
Remember, you are a co-creator of your own reality, also the reality itself. Feel good about yourself and you will experience exactly that.
I know how difficult is for many of us to trust themselves, to stop and look within for self-validation rather than searching validation from others.
Others, even with good intentions can only validate their projection of you, an image, an identity you should not adopt unless it is matching your own self-alignment.

As I type and share this perspective I understand that this is not a tutorial, yes it shares few suggestions on “how to…” but it is more of a holographic message, it seams that I am no longer capable to write the mechanics of it, the usual “do this, do that… your life is magical now” but the mechanics of perception of awareness, a syncretic knowledge that doesn’t has much to do with the symbol but more with the individual.
It is not a popular approach because we are taught to always change our environment so we can enjoy rather than change ourselves and allow the environment to reflect our joy.
A few years ago in MagicSigils Facebook community, among my first posts I shared this idea: “when you are ready this leave this group, you will no longer need magic as a crouch, as a tool for manifestation, but for true expression of self”
Of course I was less poetic back then, 2022 I believe. Anyway, my suggestions to you are as follows:
- do not fall for “magic is for everybody”, because it is not, in the same way not everybody is an engineer or an airplane pilot.
- do not fully adopt commodity for knowledge and experience, will not serve you well.
- avoid replicating experiences of others and expect the exact results you read in books.
- there is no black magic, grey magic, green magic or any other color. There is magic with consequences, with outcome, with polarity and intention. Good and Bad are definitions of polarity and attached to them there are collectively aggreged upon human definitions and all sorts of constructions like “morality” for example.
- if you express the word magic with “k” at the end, you need to stop, you don’t need to differentiate the magic from performed stage illusionism, that’s for “Vegas” dear. K in magick is not natural, it is a compromise and in your own perception becomes a compromise. Yea, many do it, so what, many can do wrong things, that doesn’t make it right. Words matter, spelling matters, perception matters.

FAQ
- Do I need to activate the sigil by burning it?
– not always, some sigils, depending on the purpose they serve are transmuted through fire into light, heat, smoke, but no other manifestation because not all sigils are ready for activation through fire element. - I created a sigil but doesn’t work. Why it doesn’t work?
– from the start I can say that “expectations” are blocking the energy to manifest. The misinterpreted “forget about it” or “conscious release” highly promoted in the mainstream is, in a sense the action of not interfering with it. Allow it to work without your analytical mind trying to help and speed up the process. That’s why I suggest Know rather than Belief
